Purpose

This slow reveal is designed to support analysis and discussion of both the data and the design choices. The questions in the slide deck invite learners to examine trends, relationships, and possible interpretations. This graph encourages discussion about the features of bar graphs, determining values, skip-counting, scale along the y-axis, dealing with categorical data, and understanding how a bar graph represents values.

There is a follow-up handout for students to calculate to add other data — for their own body or that of another animal.
